MEMORIAL  DAY  2011   What Went Wrong?

Memorial Day, formerly known as Decoration Day, commemorates men and women who have died while in Military service.  First enacted to honor Union and Confederate soldiers following the American Civil War... After WW I, was extended to honor ALL americans who have died in ALL wars.  First began as a ritual of remembrance and reconciliation after the Civil War.  Now, also is an occasion for a general expression by ALL people to visit gravesites of their deceased lovedones.

Kevin and Angie O'Brien, why would you, on your Pet Relocation Blog of Friday 27 May 2011, ever think it would be appropriate to wish others a Happy and Fun Memorial Day? Memorial Day should be a somewhat solemn day for those wishing to honor their deceased lovedones! You would wish those to have a fun time on the way to the cemetery? Did it ever occur to you to respect the feelings of those who daily are receiving letters from the White House advising that their son or daughter just died on the battlefield? Did it ever occur to you pay homage to the military heros? Perhaps if you had ever served your country, as I have, that you might have a better perspective?

Have a fun trip to the cemetery?  Come on...Show some respect and apprciation... I have lost a family member, and indeed, many friends while serving their country.... And, you wish me a happy and fun Memorial Day!!

As of today, 3 Jun 11, PetRelo has NOT found it worthwhile to address this issue on their daily blog !

Do you, the American public, really want to use a business who is so unappreciative of our military?
